What is Zapier?

Zapier is a web-based automation tool that lets you connect one application to ~ 2,000 other web services and applications to create automated workflows or Zaps.

Information between any two linked apps can be sent via these Zaps. They can be set up in just a few clicks with no technical or coding skills required. Xoxoday Plum’s API integration lets Zapier automate the task of rewarding in the form of sending gift cards within any existing application or workflow.

Each Zap has a Trigger and an Action. The information that comes from the app that Xoxoday Plum would be connected to is the Trigger, and this causes an Action, which in this case would be – automatically sending customized digital gift cards.

This document will run you through a step-by-step user guide to setting up Xoxoday Plum’s Zapier integration by building the Zap workflow - from Trigger --within any application-- to Action.

Integrate SurveyMonkey with Xoxoday Plum to send a gift card to respondents on SurveyMonkey.

To integrate SurveyMonkey with Zapier follow the following steps:

  1. Create a Zap workflow by first choosing any online app (HubSpot, Salesforce, SurveyMonkey, Slack, Google sheets, SurveySparrow, etc.) and then choose a trigger, such as ‘when a survey submission is completed by the user’. Test the trigger to Find data.

  2. Next, pick Xoxoday Plum as the Action application to send rewards in the form of e-gift cards automatically as a response to the Trigger.

  1. Sign into the Trigger App. Next, to sign into the Action App, complete the self-serve set-up of Xoxoday Plum. Below are the steps to register:

  • Enter Your Company Name.

  • Your company email address.

  • Verify your email by entering the OTP.

Step 3:

  • Set a password.

  • Create a unique URL for your company stores.

A unique URL is created on Xoxoday Plum Stores, especially for your company. This is unchangeable.

Eg: Nreach Online Services' store URL is: stores.xoxoday.com/nreach where the employees of the Nreach company can redeem their points for experiences, gift cards, brand vouchers in their company stores.

Step 4:

  • Add Billing details for your company.

  • Enter your company Tax ID. (GST Number, VAT Reg no., TIN..)

  • Enter the currency for the Plum Store to be used for transactions.

  • Enter Billing address.

Tax ID, is a unique number assigned to a business by the Commercial Tax Department of the state that has received the application. It serves as an identity for a business, which is registered under VAT for the trade of goods and services.

Currency for the Plum Stores is the currency used for the transactions or rewarding.

Eg:

  • 1 point = 1 INR

  • 1 point = 1 USD

You can only choose one currency at the time of the registration and is unchangeable.

Step 5: Now authorize your Zapier account with the Plum account for seamless data sync.

If you are already registered as a Xoxoday customer:

 

Login to Xoxoday Plum

Sign-in use your existing user ID and password.

Note

Use a Xoxoday account that has admin privileges with access to Xoxoday admin dashboard. If you are not an admin user on Xoxoday, you will not be able to use the Xoxoday app.

Now you are successfully registered with Xoxoday Plum.

1. Once signed into Plum, click Continue and start Customising your reward, fill up all the fields depending on the use-case of the Action you have set. Double check everything. For example, Recipient Email field is important if the gift card(s) need to be sent to the user via email.

2. Click Continue. You may now test it for review or proceed to the next step.

Turn on Zap to complete the workflow.

Congrats! You have successfully created the Zap.

As a result, whenever a respondent completes the selected Survey on SurveyMonkey, he will instantly receive the customized Gift Card from Xoxoday Plum!

Salesforce + Zapier + Xoxoday Plum

Integrate Salesforce with Xoxoday Plum to send a gift card to new Prospects/leads added on your Salesforce account

To integrate Salesforce account with Zapier follow the following steps:

Step 1: Select Salesforce as the Trigger application, the Trigger, in this case, is “when a new lead(record) is added”. First, log into your Salesforce account and Test the trigger to Find data.

Step 2: Next, pick Xoxoday Plum as the Action application to send rewards in the form of e-gift cards automatically as a response to the Trigger, i.e. to a new record added on Salesforce.

Step 3: After DIY set-up or login as registered user of Xoxoday Plum.

Step 4: Click Continue and begin Customizing the Reward. Fill up all the fields depending on the use-case of the Action you have set. Double check everything. For example, Recipient Email field is important if the gift card(s) need to be sent to the user via email.

Step 5: Test and Review or Continue.

Congrats! Your Zap is now ready.
As a result of this integration, whenever a new record is added to Salesforce, the user receives Xoxoday Plum’s customized Gift Card via email.
